About the CTRT

The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust (CTRT) was founded in 1985. Its main role is to raise funding for research into why and how cancers develop; better ways of detecting and monitoring cancers; and finding and testing new treatments.

The CTRT has played a key role in funding the research work undertaken by consultants at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood, Middlesex – which works closely with the West London Cancer Centre based at Charing Cross Hospital.

Great strides have been made in recent years in finding effective cancer treatments. But while more lives are being saved, the number of cancer patients is increasing given that people are living longer and some cancers develop with age.

Our mission is to enable consultants to continue turning research ideas into exciting research studies and new life-saving treatments.

CTRT is a Registered Charity No. 292909
